AllThingsPDF started from an uncomfortable observation: everyone uploads their most sensitive documents — contracts, ID proofs, medical reports, bank statements — to random websites, because that's where the free PDF tools are. Every one of those sites promises "your files are safe with us." The promise is unverifiable by design.

Modern browsers don't need the upload. They can merge, split, compress, convert and encrypt PDFs locally, on your device, with performance that matches or beats a round-trip to someone's server. So we built the whole toolkit that way, then went one step further: we made the privacy claim checkable. Tool pages are served with a security policy that makes cross-origin requests impossible, the site works in airplane mode, and the verify page shows you how to confirm all of it in your own browser in under a minute.

What we care about

Files stay yours. No uploads, no retention policies, no "deleted after one hour." Nothing to delete.

Precision over marketing. Our compressor hits exact byte targets and shows the achieved size before download. Our photo tools hit exact pixel and kilobyte specs, including the portal minimums everyone else ignores.

Honesty about limits. Where a conversion can't be done faithfully in a browser — complex PDF-to-Word layouts, slide designs — the tool says so before you press the button, not after.

Free, and staying free

There is no server doing the work, so there is nothing to meter. No accounts, no daily caps, no watermarks, no premium tier for the tools on this site.
